Imaginary City / Fruit display / Sculptural Object The object challenges the idea of a sculpture, re-imagining it as a fruit display where it arranges and organizes various fruits into geometric shapes to create striking visual displays. Through the rearranging of the three dimensional shapes, the display system panels can be added and removed accordingly. With meticulous orchestration of the forms, the aim is to highlight a kind of geometry not found in the natural world; while questioning the boundaries between art / design, form / function. It explores materiality, shapes and color, resulting in an aesthetic experimentation with playfull functionality. When not in use, the object reaffirms its promminence as a sculptural item. "Signs form a language, but not the one you think you know. I realized I had to free myself from the images which in the past had announced to me the things I sought: only then will I succeed in understanding the language of Hypatia." / The Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino. Materials: alpaca (metal), and reshaped discarded plexiglass.
